JESSICA MEYERS, PA-C
REGISTERED HERBALIST (AHG), APPLIED FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE CERTIFIED

Serving patients virtually in Arizona, California, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

I help people take back control of their health by blending modern medicine with the wisdom of nature and root-cause care.

I started in healthcare over 20 years ago as an EMT and phlebotomist in Los Angeles while completing my undergraduate degree at Biola University. I earned my Master's from the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine and became a certified Physician Associate in 2013. For years, I practiced in dermatology, urgent care, and family and internal medicine.

Everything changed when I attended an integrative medicine conference in 2016. I realized there was more to healing than what I had learned in the traditional model. That moment started a journey I’m still on today.

TRAINING & EDUCATION

I graduated cum laude from Biola University with a bachelor's degree in Biological Science. I was then accepted into the University of Southern California’s Physician Assistant program through the Keck School of Medicine, where I earned my master’s degree in 2013.

I’ve always had a deep passion for both science and healing. That passion has guided every step of my education and career, pushing me to look beyond symptom management and toward a more complete understanding of how the body works.

I’ve studied under Dr. Tieraona Low Dog, a physician and herbalist who helped me see how powerful plants can be when used intentionally. I earned the title of Registered Herbalist through the American Herbalists Guild and also became an Applied Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner through the School of Applied Functional Medicine.

Each step has added tools to my practice and helped me understand the body as a connected system, not a set of isolated symptoms.

HOW I PRACTICE

I believe healing happens when we address the true cause of illness and support the body with the right tools. That may involve functional lab testing, herbs, supplements, nutrition, and lifestyle shifts, but it always starts with listening. I use a blend of conventional diagnostics, herbal wisdom, and functional medicine strategy to help you get real answers and lasting results.

I won’t rush through a visit or hand you a one-size-fits-all plan. I’ll walk with you, ask better questions, and help you understand what your body is telling you.

BEYOND THE CLINIC

In addition to patient care, I have consulted for national medical groups to develop functional medicine programs, and advised on supplement formulation. I’ve also designed a care model focused specifically on the health needs of first responders. My work is always centered around one goal: helping people live healthier, more resilient lives.

A BIT MORE ABOUT ME

Outside of work, I’m usually in my garden, spending time with my three children, or working alongside my husband (a career firefighter) to push forward the mission of improving first responder health. I love what I do because I’ve lived both sides of medicine- I know what it’s like to chase symptoms and feel frustrated, and I know what it feels like to finally find a clear path forward.
